SEPULTURA Win Brazilian Video Award
August 28, 2003SEPULTURA won the "Best Direction of Photography" award for their "Bullet The Blue Sky" video (directed by Academia de Filmes) at this year's edition of "MTV Brasil Video Music Awards", held Tuesday (August 26). The Brazilian band's cover version of the U2 track was up for four awards at the event, including "Best Video Editing", "Best Rock Video" and "Viewers' Choice". In addition, the band's official web site, www.sepultura.com.br, was nominated in the "Best Web Site" category.
As previously reported, SEPULTURA's latest CD, "Roorback", received its long-awaited U.S. release on Tuesday (August 26) through SPV Records. The follow-up to 2001's "Nation" was recorded and mixed by producer Steve Evetts (SNAPCASE, EARTH CRISIS) at Mosh Studios in São Paulo, Brazil, and was released in Europe in May through SPV. A North American tour in support of "Roorback" is planned for October.
